1

The Three Hungry Goats

Three goats live together: one little, one big, and one very big. They are all very hungry. The big red goat says "I'm very hungry!" They see beautiful green grass across a river. The little goat shouts "Look at the grass!" They want to eat it but need to cross the river first. A bridge is there, but something is under it.

2

The Troll Under the Bridge

The goats see the bridge. But a bad troll lives under it. "This is my bridge!" he says. The big red goat sees him and cries, "There's a troll!" The troll is scary and protects his bridge. He is also hungry. The goats really want the green grass. They must find a way to cross the bridge and pass the troll.

3

The Little and Big Goats Cross

The little goat goes first. "Tip! Tap!" go his feet. The troll hears him. "Who's on my bridge?" The little goat answers, "It's me." The troll wants to eat him. The clever goat says, "I'm little. Wait for the next goat. He's big." The troll agrees. The big goat crosses next. He also tells the troll to wait for the very big goat.

4

The Very Big Goat Fights

The very big goat goes on the bridge. "Tip! Tap! Tip! Tap!" The troll asks who is there. The goat says, "It's me. I want to eat the grass." The troll is hungry and says, "I want to eat you!" But the very big goat is strong. He says, "OK. Here I come!" He runs and hits the troll very hard. The troll flies up and then falls down.

5

A Happy Ending

The bad troll goes away. He never comes back. The goats say, "Goodbye, troll!" Now, the three goats can cross the bridge. They eat the green, green grass. They are very happy and not hungry anymore. The little goat, the big goat, and the very big goat are all safe and full. They can always eat the grass now.
